Day 1

After arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport, travelers will be transferred to Bentota, where they will have lunch and enjoy a tran-quil Madhu River boat safari through man-groves. The day continues with a visit to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to learn about sea turtle con-servation, ending with dinner and an overnight stay in Bentota.

After breakfast, travel through Sri Lanka’s south-ern plains into the scenic hill country, stopping at Ravana Falls and exploring the village of Ella.Then continue to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” for its colonial charm, where you’ll check in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy, passing tea plantations, mountains, and waterfalls. Visit Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and a tea estate en route. In Kandy, enjoy a cultural dance performance and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, then have dinner and stay overnight in Kandy.

After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe elephants and learn about conservation efforts, then travel to Colombo. In the evening, enjoy a guided city tour cov-ering major attractions like Galle Face Green, Independence Square, Pettah Market, and Gangaramaya Temple, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Colombo.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time for
shopping or leisure in Colombo, where you
can explore local boutiques, handicraft
stores, or modern shopping malls. Later, you will be transferred to Bandaranai-
ke International Airport for your onward
flight, carrying unforgettable memories of your Sri Lanka journey.

Do I need a visa to travel to Sri Lanka?

Yes, Indian travelers need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arrival. The process is simple and can be done online within minutes.

The official currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). Indian Rupees or US Dollars are sometimes accepted in tourist areas, but it’s better to carry local currency.

Sri Lankan cuisine is rich in flavor with seafood, rice, curries, and tropical fruits. Vegetarian and Indian food options are also widely available.

Light cotton clothes, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and modest attire for temple visits. If you’re heading to hill stations like Nuwara Eliya, carry a light jacket too.

Sri Lanka celebrates many festivals like Vesak (Buddha’s birthday), Sinhala & Tamil New Year (April), and Kandy Esala Perahera (July–August). These are colorful experiences worth witnessing.
